Fishboy turned out to be Frans. Frans was born on November 7th at 7.47pm. He took almost 2 days to come out and showed of by turning an extra time, therefore looking a bit like Marge Simpson when entering the world. A very cute Marge that is;) For friends and family in Australia, Denmark, Norway, Germany and the UK.

We've been busy

building an extension to the holliday house.

Not finnished anytime soon but becomming Bob the Builder, or rather C the Constructor and M the m something has made us realise it takes time. Well maybe C was thinking it was going to be even slower, anyways. So far we have dug out heaps and heaps of dirt but most of all heaps and heaps of rocks and stones - this explains the million swedes wanting to go to America... we were both thinking of doing the same...

Frans behaves exceptional and mostly plays with the mini tractor which he and Alvin seem to think is theirs. Frans probably finds it a bit strange that we first dug out heaps of rocks, then filled the hole back up again with heaps of smaller rocks...

Will try and update with images this weekend.

Baby Melker! Cutest in town!

den 23 mars 2009

Welcome cousin Melker!

Alvins baby brother was born this evening at 19.06! Frans is asleep so he does not know but he has been saying that the baby was comming today so it seems he was right. Good birthday present for M and I who both have their birtdays tomorrow.

...and we know whe have been bad bloggers, C blame M for not having installed a photo editing program yet;)

Welcome Baby Filip!

S&H had baby number two this Friday! (S said in an email to C the same day, that today there would be no baby arriving;))

So now Nellie is the proud big sister of a little boy, that apparently haven't told them what his name is just yet. So Filip is apparently just a guess!

New Year

So Christmas and the New Year has passed and tomorrow is back to business as usual.

Christmas (24th) was spent with farmor, farfar, mormor, morfar and gamla mormor. Santa came around for about 1 minute before leaving via the balcony. Presents, presents, presents and good food as usual.

Classic sight of Swedish kids around 3pm, watching Donald Duck at Christmas.

Farmor had a birthday dinner on the 27th and we then went down to the holiday house, where it was cold, very cold (below 13 during night.) Celebrated a mini Christmas with Alvin finishing of the left overs from Christmas. Spent the days doing pretty much nothing, but acctually got to do some ice-skating on the lake. Spent new years eve with V and her family before heading to Karlshamn to visit Nellie, S & H. Which made us think, do you now have to go to south Sweden to get some snow?

December

Christmas is here and all of December has been filled with preparations. Started of by making some ginger bread, even if Frans got his own apron and hat, can't say he seemed to enjoy it too much. Until we got to eat the gingerbread men and cats and pigs and...

Had Julbord with the rest of the Anderssons, Alvin & co at Ästad Gård. Great food and even a Lucia which made Frans and Alvin go quiet for about 10 seconds until Frans started, very loudly saying "They´re singing" while Alvin started singing "lusse lelle".

Lucia at day care went great except for Frans and Ida not wanting to join the others in the train;)
Had the people from Karlshamn for a visit and we took them to Christmas at Liseberg.

And not to forget! M and S in Denmark had their second child, Vera!

...

we've finally recovered from Frans 2nd Birthday weekend;) So here are som photos from his b-day and some from last weekend at the holliday house were we had snow.
This might just be proof for C's newly found obsession with cupcakes...!
Frans and Alvin... just a coincidence that they were wearing the same jumper from H&M!

Came back from the city just now where we spent some time trying to find a chef's cap for Frans and then had lunch at Bee and also got a pin for a very good cause "Stop mens violence towards women!" - Make sure to sign up!

den 20 november 2008

It's snowing!

and Frans is asleep and the snow most likely won't be there tomorrow morning, when the weather will be back to regular Göteborg grey and rain. Which is why you really can trust us Swedes to make good boots;)

Ah well, didn't even finish this post in time, no snow anymore...

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!

Frans turns 2 today and started the day of by waking up at 5.50, before C had a chance to prepare breakfast and presents. Got a first present - a Bamse Pussle which he seems to like. Now the weekend will be filled with parties;)

Also a very happy birthday to Astrid who was born at the same day and the same hospital!

Update: Photos from this early morning birthday celebration in bed! Also photos from late afternoon when farmor, farfar, mormor and morfar were all her to deliver presents and have some birthday champagne! Frans has so far got so many presents, we have a hard time seeing where this will end by Sunday. Clothes, tricycle, Little People Garage, classic Brio train set and Form Ones newly released CD;)

Reluctantly Halloween

Hm just to let you know. Frans is today celebrating Halloween dressed as a pumpkin that C made out of fleece and som "fluff" at 10pm last night, while M attended som university thing across the road. Can not guarantee that it fits or that Frans is very keen on acctually wearing this strange thing, due to that he will most likely look either like a Ninja Turtle or like someone with a "badring". We will see what they say when C picks Frans up from day care later this afternoon.

Image proof will be posted later on today....

Image Update: Well you can all see. Not sure what it acctually looks like, a pumpkin, a ninja turtle or just an orange tire? Not sure what the teachers at day care meant when they said Frans was soo cute and I seem to be so handy...

And by the way, C does not at all like this really really strange American tradition but rather think of Alla helgons dag/All Saints Day which we should rather be "celebrating" for example thinking of late parents and grand parents.

Happy Birthdays!

So. Elias and Jesper have already turned 2. Frans and Astrid are soon to come. So, we gathered the families for a joint birthday party in between all the birthdays. Kids, pasta, ice cream, candles and finishing it of with Astrids dad turning up showing the kids the police car!

The photos also proving that an english winter jacket for a one year old, fits a Swedish 2 year old just perfect;)

Opening the presents: Jesper, Elias, Astrid & Frans

Waiting: Elias, Frans, Jesper & Astrid

Hihi, a police car. Do not like the lights but the sound it makes is quite interesting

New Girlfriend

Think Frans is in love. Sorry Astrid, but the love item is Ida at daycare. He still keeps talking of Astrid so it might just be a crush;)

den 4 oktober 2008

OK OK OK...

We know, we've been lazy heads and we have absolutely nothing to blame but the old and very famous day care cold that apparently will hit you more than the 3 times we've allready been hit since August...

Since August. Frans is back at day care. Did not enjoy it at first since all the teachers were new, he now loves it and tells C to go catch the bus and leave for work. Hmpf...

Hade a fixing day at day care today where we built some walls so that the kids get a small kitchen and put all the LEGO in the dish washer and then had them drying up in the heating cabinets;) Felt very creative!

Spent some weekends at the holliday house with cousin Alvin (who Frans calls either Ayo or Amin).

Frans out of the blue said Heja Gais (Go Gais!). We suspect that uncle I has something to do with this.

Planning for a trip to Australia if we could ever agree on the best time to go. C votes for March, M for October next year and Frans he doesn't care as long as we go and will be able to have go for a swim while there.

Last weeks of summer and Happy Birthday to Uncle I

First a happy Bday to uncle I, who spent both C's and his own bday (C was born the day before uncle Is 30th, he then said that C would get all the attention from now on and reckoned that Cs mum should come to his 30th Bday Party;) in Tunisia together with cousin Alvin and the rest of that part of the family.

The weather seems to think that these are the last days of summer. Have had both really good days of sun and quite rainy days. So no more beach but instead the lake has been used quite a lot and the house have been built on. And for us food lovers, the rain has made the mushrooms appear!!

Frans now talks and talks and has learned heaps of new words. Woke up the other day saying Mona - realiesd after a while that it was R he meant, knowing they would come for a bbq that evening. Except for that, lots of Inge (Uncle I) and Manga (Cs cousin M), Bada (swim), Vagn (carriage, pram), Dusch (Shower), Linda (at daycare), Bä (small cudly sheep), Monkey (monkey), ost (cheese), Pasta, Borta (gone)... and the list goes on... Think uncle R needs to speed up his learning of Swedish.

This is really a small film that shows all the young cows gathering around Frans.

Hm - out in the woods - lets see what we found...

A well - yellow chantarells and there were more to come.

Young love - K & Frans at C's bday
